Solution
Why iVAS™ is different?
Given the new competitive pressures in the Telco market, the requirement to drive an increasing percentage of revenue from Value-Added Services, and the rapidly evolving service offerings and delivery platform, Telcos are finding that their current infrastructure lacks the agility necessary to deliver on business objectives.
Based upon a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the Connected Services Framework, the iVAS™ Solution Framework allows Telcos to achieve a “device-independent” services management network. This software-powered services network allows Telcos to revisit the overall drivers of the current billing mechanisms and instead focus on the micro-payment event. These events represent transactions that have value to subscribers and in turn represent opportunities for Telcos to charge for the event taking place.
A secondary key factor for existing Telcos is the fact that iVAS™ does not displace your existing Operations Support Systems (OSS) or Business Support Systems (BSS); rather it interfaces directly with them through a published web services interface. The availability of industry standard interfaces (adapters) enables the plug-in connectivity of disperse systems in place within the Telcos. iVAS™ features a common set of interfaces and software logic for connecting to diverse back-end systems.
